GPS antenna and radio antenna
Our GPS antennas and radio antennas (ALS 162/DCF) are intended to synchronise slave clocks, master clocks, and time servers. The time code includes minute, hour, day, and date information as well as the synchronisation signal. This code automatically manages summer/winter time changeovers and guarantees absolute precision.

Our GPS antennas
The GPS antenna provides time synchronisation throughout the world thanks to a network of 24 satellites.
Bodet offers three types of GPS antennas: GPS antenna, Prog GPS-DCF antenna, and UTC GPS-DCF antenna. The GPS-DCF antenna can synchronise products that have no GPS antenna input but have a radio antenna (DCF) input.
Rollover immunity: the GPS module and the integrated electronics ensure reliability and precision over time.

Our radio antennas
Our range of radio antennas is available in two models: FI antenna and DCF antenna.
- The ALS 162 antenna captures time signals transmitted by the transmitter in Allouis, France. The signals are received throughout Europe and in North Africa.
- The DCF antenna captures time signals transmitted by the DCF 77 transmitter in Mainflingen, Germany. The signals are received in continental Europe.

GPS rollover phenomenon
What is GPS rollover?
The GPS date in a GPS module is calculated on a "week number" database sent by the GPS satellites.
The "week number" represents the number of weeks since 6 January 1980 (origin of GPS time). This data allows a GPS module to calculate its UTC calendar. The "week number" is encoded in 10 bits, which represents a maximum of 1,024 weeks. Every 19.6* years, rollover is inevitable.

What are the impacts on your products?
Certain Bodet products (such as the Sigma master clock) will be affected and will no longer have the correct date. Rollover will cause disturbances on time and season changeovers.
